About us

We are a team of 2 who have been working together for a few years, developing projects from concept to completion. We are also engaged in teaching and research at Oxford Brookes University where we focus on the quality of design through understanding spatial requirements, material detailing and construction.

We aim through practice, to deliver a service which is built on our years of experience and enthusiasm in architecture, planning and construction. We want our clients to have a professional service, focused of transparency of fees, clarity of information, linked to a control of the project costing.

Our proposals are environmentally conscious, taking into account social and cultural values to enhance the meaningfulness of our proposals. We aim to act with honesty and integrity.

Ricardo Assis Rosa has been building and designing houses since his teenage years. He has a practical approach to architecture, specifically interested in bespoke interior and exterior spatial relations, natural light and materials.

Ricardo studied architecture in Portugal as well as at Oxford Brookes University where he is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Architecture. He teaches design and technology as well as carrying out PhD research in architectural design and robotic fabrication. He qualified as an architect through the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2008 and has worked on projects ranging from £50K to £3m.

James Palmer has an exceptional attention to detail and enjoys finding affordable ways to make a project feel bespoke. He has a thoughtfulness for materials and for harnessing their qualities to create welcoming and sensitive spaces.

James graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2014, where he has run workshops in robotic fabrication since. James designs at all scales, with experience ranging from large scale residential projects to bespoke one-off houses. At an even smaller scale, he has a personal interest in designing and making jewellery, ceramics and furniture.
